Did you know cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the United States — yet only 44% of women recognize it as their leading cause of death? Nearly half of women today have high blood pressure, and by 2050 that number could rise to nearly 60%. Younger women are also at risk, with nearly 30% of women ages 22–44 expected to develop some form of cardiovascular disease.
Through its Go Red for Women® movement, the American Heart Association is working to change these statistics by raising awareness and empowering women to take charge of their heart health. In this PSA, the initiative encourages women of all ages to understand their risk, know key health numbers like blood pressure, and take small steps that can lead to healthier futures.
By airing this PSA, you’ll help create a world where women are stronger, healthier, and better supported at every stage of life.
