Release Date: 06 Apr 2026

Every year, more than 350,000 people suffer cardiac arrest outside of a hospital — and approximately 9 out of 10 don’t survive, often because CPR isn’t performed in time.

The American Heart Association’s Heart Walk is a community walk event held in cities across the country, bringing people together to build a Nation of Lifesavers™ through CPR education and awareness. By empowering everyday bystanders with lifesaving skills like Hands-Only CPR, Heart Walk shows how small actions can lead to extraordinary outcomes and supports the bold goal of doubling survival from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest by 2030.

By airing this PSA, you’ll help encourage your community to take action, build CPR confidence, and help save lives.
