Show Your Support for Women’s Heart Health This National Wear Red Day with the American Heart Association
For too long, women have faced higher risks from cardiovascular disease (CVD), the leading cause of death in U.S. women, yet many don’t know their personal risk. Nearly 45% of women over 20 have some form of CVD, and heart disease can strike at any age.
That’s why the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women® movement urges everyone to join National Wear Red Day® on Friday, February 6. Together, we can help women take bold steps for a healthier tomorrow by:
- Learning Hands-Only CPR to provide lifesaving help in an emergency
- Knowing their numbers by regularly monitoring blood pressure and other key health indicators
- Joining Research Goes Red to ensure women are represented in cardiovascular research
By airing this PSA and participating in National Wear Red Day®, you’ll help raise awareness and inspire women to take charge of their heart health through simple, life-saving actions.
